GMC Softball roundup for Tuesday, April 14

Monroe 19, J.F. Kennedy 0 (4 inn.): Sarah McGrath went 3-for-4 with five RBI to lead Monroe (4-0), which has outscored it opposition 76-3 through its first four games. Kendra Barlotta, Casey Schieda and Angela Mazurkiewicz each had two hits help the Falcons to the win. Schieda homered and drove in three runs while Ashlyn Petersen also had three RBI. Glorianna Perrotte pitched a three-hitter for the win.

Middlesex 12, Mother Seton 2: Brielle Murillo went 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs as Middlesex (3-4) scored four runs in the sixth inning before pounding for seven runs in the seventh to overcome a 2-1 deficit. Ashley Dotey hit a pair of doubles, knocking and scoring two runs for the Blue Jays while Natalie Devine went 2-for-3 with two RBI as Middlesex had 15 hits as a team. Michelle Wisniewski pitched two perfect innings of relief for the win. Alexandra James singled and scored a run for Mother Seton (2-5).

Metuchen 14, New Brunswick 2: Samantha Hong gave up four hits and struck out seven to get the win for Metuchen. Samantha Hoffman went 3-for-4 with a double and a triple. Valentina Czochanski went 4-for-4 with a double and Liane Cifrodelli collected 3 RBI for the Bulldogs. For New Brunswick, Jocelyn Watson went 2-for-3 with a double.

South River 18, Piscataway Tech 3: Mackenzie Garrick went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a home run, four RBI, and three runs to lead South River (6-1). Alyssa Andrejic, Miche Dias, and Sam Buckenberger all drove in two runs each for the Rams. Tiarra Brady-Tutt and Annabel Espinal both had two hits each for Piscataway Tech (0-7).
