Softball: North Hunterdon, Pope John top seeds in H/W/S Tournament

The Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Softball Tournament seeds were released Monday and North Hunterdon and Pope John were named top seeds.

The tournament, which is broken down between Hunterdon/Warren teams (A seeds) and Sussex schools (B seeds), begins Wednesday with four preliminary games while the rest of the competition kicks off Saturday.

The quarterfinals are slated for May 2, the semifinals for May 9 and the final at 7:30 p.m. on May 16 at Diamond Nation.

9A-South Hunterdon at 8B-Newton, winner at 1A-North Hunterdon

5A-Warren Hills at 4B-Lenape Valley

10B-Walkill Valley at 7A-North Warren, winner at 2B-Kittatinny

6B-Vernon at 3A-Voorhees

10A-Belvidere at 7B-Sparta, winner at 2A-Hunterdon Central

6A-Phillipsburg at 3B-Hopatcong

9B-Sussex Tech at 8A-Hackettstown, winner at 1B-Pope John

5B-High Point at 4A-Delaware Valley
