For the past three weeks, MyCentralJersey.com football analyst Marcus Borden has interviewed more than 100 high school players and coaches and captured nearly 500 photos and video highlights during his Greater Middlesex Conference Camp Caravan tour.

Snapple Bowl founder and game director Marcus Borden spent last season as an assistant coach at Bishop Ahr High School in Edison last year.

The temporarily out-of-service Hall of Fame coach, sidelined following knee replacement surgery during the summer, wanted to keep his hand on the pulse of scholastic football and volunteered his services and expertise to our readership.

A collection of photos and videos from each of Borden's Camp Caravan stops can be found below and help keep readers occupied until the Home News Tribune and MyCentralJersey.com's 2014 GMC Football Preview appears in print and online on Sept. 11. The special section includes detailed team-by-team previews, a cover story, a feature story on each school, division overviews and much more.

Borden provided those who otherwise might not make trips to programs outside their own division or even their own school with an inside look at the facilities and practice routines of every football-playing member in the league.

"I can honestly say that after having traveled 528 miles, taking over 420 cell phone snap shots and videotaping over 100 players, I believe that I have a pulse on the competition in each of the three GMC divisions," Borden said.

"I am looking forward to the regular season and the opportunity to instantly post outstanding video clips on Instagram in addition to giving Twitter updates with action photos from the game.

"The clock is running! School starts tomorrow. All those that open on September 12 will have a final tune up or game scrimmage this week. Game planning will be underway or finalized by Saturday."

Borden's work – he visited 24 schools – has justifiably received rave reviews.
