Devan Thomas rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns for the Voorhees High School football team, which collectively ran for 350 yards on the ground in a 42-6 triumph over Somerville on Friday night, as they improved to 3-0.

Thomas scored on runs of 40 and 27 yards in the first quarter while quarterback Charlie Rodenberger also rushed for two touchdowns and completed 3-of-5 passes for 95 yards, including a 56-yard touchdown to Justin Carey as the Vikings led 35-6 at the half.

Nick Couzzi caught a 66-yard touchdown pass from Nasir Clark for the only Somerville (0-3) score in the first quarter.

Bound Brook 23, Roselle Park 21: After trailing 7-0 after one quarter, Bound Brook took a lead in the second quarter they would never relinquish as they improved to 2-1.

Mekhi Lewis’ 10-yard run tied the game, 7-7, and Darius Brown caught a 39-yard touchdown pass from Dan Leinbach as the Crusaders led 14-7 at the half.

After Roselle Park evened the score , Leinbach and Brown hooked up again early in the fourth quarter for an 84-yard score to regain the lead, 20-14, after the extra point was blocked.

Aaron Saavedra tacked on a 28-yard field goal with under two minutes.

Delaware Valley 21, A.L. Johnson 20: Corey Shedlock’s 3-yard touchdown run, his second score of the night, tied the game for Delaware Valley in the fourth quarter, 20-20, and Ryan Romaine’s extra point gave the Terriers (3-0) their first lead of the night as they held on.

Bridgewater-Raritan 34, Union 21: Matt Kateris rushed for 86 yards on 19 carriers, including a pair of touchdowns in the first half as Bridgewater-Raritan (2-1) led 21-0 at the half.

Kateris added a nine-yard touchdown reception while the Panthers’ quarterback platoon of Eric Nickel and Conlan Farrell combined to complete 13-of-18 passes for 142 yards and three touchdowns.

Bernards 40, Manville 0: Tyler Baum threw for three touchdowns and the Tantleff brothers each caught two touchdowns for Bernards (2-0) - J.P. came down with 80 and 60-yard scores while Matt hauled in touchdowns of 25 and 15 yards.

Each brother also caught a touchdown on the Mountaineers’ first two plays from scrimmage, as they led 27-0 at the half.

Belvidere 23, South Hunterdon 7: Tyler Frazee hit D’Andre Acosta for a 67-yard touchdown pass to give South Hunterdon an early 7-0 lead, but Belvidere would outscore the Eagles 23-0.

Phillipsburg 48, Watchung Hills 20: Joe Giacomo threw a pair of second quarter touchdown passes, but Watchung Hills (0-3) was already trailing 35-0.

Elizabeth 34, Franklin 0: Marquise Leak rushed for 103 yards for Elizabeth, as Franklin (0-3) trailed 27-0 at the half.
