If you are heading to the Rutgers-Penn State football game Saturday night, make sure you park in a designated parking area.

Piscataway and New Brunswick police have sent out community notifications about game-day parking restrictions.

Piscataway police said that no-parking will be in effect on select streets near the stadium. Police will be enforcing the restriction. The parking ban will be in effect on Kroeger Lane, Riverview Avenue, Mayfield Lane, Penrose Lane, Stafford Drive, Golf Links Avenue, Logan Lane, Hillcrest Road and Wakefield Lane.

No-parking signs will be posted and enforced by police. Violators will be subject to a summons and towing at the owner’s expense.

In New Brunswick, there will be no parking on Easton Avenue from Somerset Street to Landing Lane from 8 a.m. Saturday until 4 a.m. Sunday.

Because of the expected large increase of motor vehicle traffic for the game, parking will be limited on Easton Avenue. With Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Saint Peter’s University Hospital on the Easton Avenue corridor and the volume of emergency vehicles that utilize Easton Avenue every day, it has been determined that the prohibition of parked vehicles in the posted locations during this time will provide easier access and mobility for emergency vehicles.
