GMC FOOTBALL WEEK 1: Media blitz, Marcus Borden's picks

Our team of MyCentralJersey.com high school football reporters has all of the Greater Middlesex Conference action covered this weekend, with sports writers staffing eight of the league's 14 games.

In addition, we'll have complete write-ups of the other five contests.

Staff photographer Mark Sullivan will take photos of the field dedication at North Brunswick, where the Raiders will play their first regular-season game on the new artificial surface at Libro Field against Old Bridge on Friday night.

Later, Sullivan will head over to Edison to take photos of the Eagles' opener against Monroe.

Another staff photographer will join beat writer Greg Tufaro at Metuchen for the Bulldogs' showdown with defending Blue Division champion South River on Saturday.

MyCentraljersey.com gridiron analyst Marcus Borden makes his regular-season debut on Friday at Carteret, where he will tweet live scoring updates, highlights and photos from the Ramblers border meeting with Woodbridge. He will also provide in-game video highlights on Instagram @bordenfb4ever with his "sideline cam."
