Early look at the Old Bridge high school football team

The defending Greater Middlesex Conference Red Division champion Old Bridge High School football team will receive a visit Tuesday from MyCentralJersey.com football analyst Marcus Borden when the Knights host Freehold Boro in a game scrimmage.

A capsule summary of the 2014 Old Bridge squad appears below, but more detailed information about the Knights and the league's 24 other football-playing schools can be found in our special gridiron preview section, which will run in the Home News Tribune and at MyCentralJersey.com on Sept. 11.

The stop at OId Bridge is part of Borden's "Camp Caravan" tour, during which he and Home News Tribune sports writer Greg Tufaro post video clips, photos and analysis of preseason training camp action.

Borden will be making Camp Caravan stops at South Brunswick (Saturday, 9 a.m.); Edison (Monday, 8:30 a.m.); Middlesex (Monday, 2 p.m.); J.P. Stevens (Wednesday, 9 a.m.); Monroe (Wednesday, 1 p.m.); Dunellen (Thursday, 9 a.m.); St. Joseph (Thursday, 3 p.m.); Piscataway (Friday, 9 a.m.) and Highland Park (Aug. 30, 9 a.m.).
