Bernards 2, North Plainfield 1 (OT): Kristin Coury scored 8:41 into overtime to snap a 1-1 tie and lift Bernards to its first victory. Freshman Ashley Atubi scored her fourth goal of the young season, hitting early in first quarter to give North Plainfield (1-1) the lead. Montana Sutton knotted it for the Mountaineers (1-1), converting a corner kick 15 minutes into the second half.

Bound Brook 4, Dunellen 3: Natasha Rios headed in a direct kick by Christina Mayorga from just outside the 18 to snap a 3-3 tie and help Bound Brook stay undefeated. Mayorga finished with a hat trick, including the game’s first goal off a Marianne Riqulme punt. Jackie Von Itter scored twice and assisted on Alyssa Zarzuela’s goal for Dunellen (1-1).

New Providence 4, Kearny 3: Lisa Caprera completed her hat trick, snapping a 3-3 tie with 1:15 left in regulation to lift New Providence (2-0). Caprara was assisted by Erin Fay on the game-winner.

Wardalw-Hartridge 4, J.F. Kennedy 0: Alex Garces hit twice, and Neema Liverpool and Carlin Schildge each added goals and Wardlaw-Hartridge moved to 2-0. Lacey Gress and Sara Begalman each turned aside on shot to share the shutout.

Manville 8, Cardinal McCarrick 1: Nataly Brito, Mariana Munoz and Olivia Smutek each scored twice and Manville rolled. Brito added two assists and Smutek set up another, while Amy Rodriguez and Melany Solis chipped in with goals for the Mustangs (1-1). Maria Wise hit for Cardinal McCarrick.

Timothy Christian 4, South River 1: Jenna Collier scored three goals and Sydney ST. Jean added a goal and an assist to lead Timothy Christian (2-0). Sarah Solorzano notched two assists for the Tigers.

Middlesex 1, Spotswood 1. Katie Nicholson snapped a scoreless tie in the 50th minute to give Middlesex a lead, before Morgan Zmijewski tied it for Spotswood with 4:00 left in regulation. Nicole Fallon made three saves for the Blue Jays, while Lisa Millburn recorded seven stop for the Chargers, who played a player down for much of the second half and overtime because of a second yellow card.

Cranford 2, Mount St. Mary 0: Shannon Brink made eight saves for Mount St. Mary in its opener.
