FINAL TOP 10

1. Linden (22-7): Won their third consecutive North 2 Group IV title and also upset Patrick School and Roselle Catholic in consecutive games for their first Union County Tournament title since 2007.

2. Colonia (24-5): Captured GMC White Division, GMC Tournament, and North 2 Group III titles as the Patriots enjoyed one of their best seasons in program history.

3. Rutgers Prep (22-6): Recorded an impressive 22 wins in coach Alex Mahony’s first season as the Knights also fared well in their first year as Skyland Conference members.

4. St. Joseph (21-5): Their five-year run as GMC champs ended, but the Falcons made their eighth consecutive GMCT finals appearance and also saw coach Dave Turco get his 400th career win in the first round of the state tournament.

5. Cardinal McCarrick (21-5): The once proud program saw revitalized success under first-year coach Ben Gamble, starting out 19-0 as the future looks bright.

6. East Brunswick (16-8): The Bears advanced to the GMC Tournament semifinals but got upset in the opening round of the state tournament.

7. Perth Amboy (14-10): The Panthers advanced to the GMC Tournament semifinals as they were one of the league’s more improved teams.

8. South Brunswick (14-9): The Vikings got through to the GMCT semifinals before suffering a crushing one-point loss to Perth Amboy.

9. Carteret (18-8): The Ramblers put a strong season together, falling to eventual GMCT champion Colonia in the county tournament semifinals.

10. Woodbridge (18-9): Advanced to the GMCT semifinals, getting bounced by No. 1 seed St. Joseph.
