2015 All-Area

FIRST TEAM

GK Ryan Litterer, Colonia, Sr.

Named to the All-White Division and All-GMC first teams, Litterer was a brick wall between the goalposts for Colonia with 143 saves.  He also recorded seven shutouts.

D Justin Armorer, Monroe, Sr.

Armorer anchored a stout Falcon defense that made an appearance in the sectional final.  A vocal, energetic defender, Armorer was a spark for Monroe all season long.  Armorer also scored three goals out of the back line

D Philemon Ogalo, East Brunswick, Sr.

Ogalo was the best defender of the Bear’s backline.  Skilled and quick, Ogalo consistently thwarted opponents’ runs.  He also contributed on the offensive end with five goals, including a goal against Hunterdon Central in the first round of the NJISAA Tournament.

D Chris Bobev, South Brunswick, Sr.

The three-year starter is one of the best outside defenders in the GMC.  Bobev’s defensive prowess helped lead the Viking’s to a shared GMC title this season.  The big, strong defender also recorded three assists.

M Tyler Mazza, Old Bridge, Sr.

As the lone senior starter, Mazza was a captain and fueled the Knights’ offense.  With great speed and strength, Mazza scored 20 goals and recorded four assists.  Mazza was selected to the All-GMC first team as well.

M Jacob Villacres, South Plainfield, Jr.

Still only a junior, Villacres was one of the best midfielders in the state.  While he’s a proficient goal scorer (7 goals), Villacres truly shines with his facilitating.  The junior recorded 24 assists and was one of the assist leaders in the state.

M Raul Galindo, New Brunswick, Sr.

The senior captain was one of the top goal scorers on the potent and exciting Zebra offense.  A very balanced and versatile player, Galindo scored 14 goals and recorded 15 assists.  Galindo also tried out for the Red Bulls Academy last month.

M Chris Taraska, St. Joseph, Sr.

With eight goals and five assists, Taraska is one of the most improved players in the GMC.  His season as cut short on October 24 when he suffered a concussion against Bishop Ahr.

M Patrick Grudnik, South Brunswick, Sr.

Perhaps the best player on a stacked South Brunswick team, Grudnik scored 18 goals and recorded 10 assists.  After playing just four games last season, Grudnik came back this year with a vengeance and was clearly one of the best midfielders in the area.

F Keysean Brant-Sharp, East Brunswick, Sr.

Brant-Sharp led a dangerous East Brunswick attack with 18 goals and 17 assists.  The senior wasted no time on the offensive end to start the season, scoring four goals in the season opener against North Brunswick.

F Kevin Sanchez, New Brunswick, So.

The Player of the Year, Sanchez absolutely dominated the competition with 20 assists and a state-leading 54 goals.  Sanchez is very versatile and played all over the field this season.  Other than between the posts, Sanchez made an impact at every end of the field.

F Jason Zarate, New Brunswick, Sr.

Playing alongside Sanchez, it may be easy to overlook Zarate.  With that being said, Zarate is a quick and dangerous forward.  He scored 23 goals and added 7 assists.
