Greater Middlesex Conference semifinals

South Plainfield 4, New Brunswick 3: Nick Polizzano scored twice as sixth-seeded South Plainfield (14-6-1) upset No. 2 New Brunswick. Deshai Smith and Jacob Alba also scored. Jacob Villacres, Kurush Yusifiy and Ian McCoid all had assists. For the Zebras (18-1), Kevin Sanchez, Jason Zarate and Arlin Martinez all scored. South Plainfield will face top-seeded South Brunswick in the final on Saturday.

Prep B Tournament

Gill St. Bernard’s 3, Rutgers Prep 2 (OT): Nicholas Ricciardi scored the game-winner in the 88th minute to lead Gill St. Bernard’s (15-3) into the Prep B final. Max Aunger and Armeen Mozzaffari also scored. Tyler Kwaak had an assist. For Rutgers Prep (7-11), Alec Aloia and Guilio Vatriani scored.

Regular Season

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 3, Cranford 0: Brian McManus, Alex Ferrara and Steven Scarcella all scored to lead Scotch Plains-Fanwood (17-1-2). James Tenzer, Jordan Cimring and Patrick Ellman each had an assist.

North Brunswick 2, Spotswood 1: Xavier La’Mar and Chris Shamy scored for North Brunswick (6-13). Chris Martinez and Davide Sousa each chipped in an assist. Pawel Dzielski made nine saves. Nick Evanego scored on an assist from Zachary Miller for Spotswood (11-8). Matt Evanego made 13 saves.

North Hunterdon 1, Phillipsburg 0: Parker Hughes scored the game-winner on an assist from Mark Winter to lead North Hunterdon (7-8-2). Tyler Peragallo made nine saves for the shutout.

North Plainfield 4, Somerville 2: Ronaldo Garcia and Allen Gavilanes each scored twice for North Plainfield (12-3). Francisco Corral had an assist. For Somerville (4-14-1), Chris DiCostanzo and Devon Multon scored. Emeka Okoya tallied an assist.

Watchung Hills 2, Franklin 1: Matt Levin tallied a goal and an assist to lead Watchung Hills (8-7). Pawel Cudnoch also scored. Tim Voorhees chipped in an assist.

East Brunswick Tech 5, Somerset Tech 0: Elmer Montiel led East Brunswick Tech (14-3) with a hat trick. Alejandro Fernandez and Matthew Roesch also scored. Vincent Pellicane chipped in two assists. Troy Bello made six saves. TJ Driscoll made nine saves for Somerset Tech (4-9).
