South Brunswick's Ashley Shor returns to softball field after near-fatal car accident last spring
SOUTH BRUNSWICK – It was nearly 11 months that South Brunswick softball player Ashley Shor was seriously injured in a devastating car accident on the morning of May 18, 2014 coming home from a post-prom party.
It was in that accident that Shor, who the day prior played for South Brunswick on 'Super Saturday' in the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament, suffered a fractured back and ribs and had to have two rods and six screws placed in her back.
It took her some time to get back on her feet, but 10-and-a-half weeks after the accident she was back on the softball field practicing.
Last November she inked letter of intent to play softball next season the University of Johnstown-Pittsburgh, a Division II program.
