EDISON – Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the driver of a vehicle that allegedly struck and seriously injured a 31-year-old bicyclist Sunday night.

Police said the bicyclist, an Edison man, was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident at 11:20 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Grandview Avenue and Route 1.

The man, whose identity has not been released, apparently suffered broken bones and possible internal injuries. Police said he was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he was listed in critical condition.

Members of the Edison Police Department’s accident investigation team are looking for witnesses to the accident in hopes of getting a description of the vehicle involved in the accident.
