Cardinal McCarrick 15, Roselle Catholic 0 (5 inn.): Jackie Riley fired a five inning perfect game and head coach Rich Geisheimer picked up his 100th career victory as the Cardinal McCarrick High School softball team defeated Roselle Catholic 15-0 in five innings on Monday at Waterfront Park.

Riley struck out 11 batters and went 3-for-3 with a home run, three RBI and two runs at the plate.

Melissa Adams went 4-for-4 for the Eagles (7-2) and Amarilis Rodriguez was 3-for-3 with two RBI and three runs.

South Brunswick 14, Piscataway 4 (5 inn.): After giving up four runs in the top of the first inning on three errors, two wild pitches, and two walks, South Brunswick (6-4) exploded for 10 runs in the bottom half of the first inning.

Carly Rybinski went 4-for-4 with three runs and two RBI to lead the Vikings while Jaime Klemas went 2-for-4 with four runs scored. Amanda Fisher belted a two-run home run for South Brunswick and Casey Notrianni was 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Sarah Ogilvie went 3-for-3 for Piscataway (5-5) and Jackie McEvoy was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

J.F. Kennedy 12, North Brunswick 9: After jumping ahead 5-0 through 2 1/2 innings before falling behind 6-5 heading to the top of the seventh, J.F. Kennedy scored seven runs in the road seventh to hold on.

Ashley Conroy's two-run double put the Mustangs (6-7) ahead in the top of the seventh while Clare Lewis went 2-for-4.

Nicolette Aloia went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI while Katrina Lauri, Angela Colandrea, and Elizabeth Ruffe all had two hits each for North Brunswick (2-12).

Both pitchers, Kayla Coleman for Kennedy and Sydney Voelbel for the Raiders, allowed two earned runs each as the teams combined for 12 errors.

Sayreville 12, Colonia 1 (5 inn.): Emily Cabrera went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and three runs scored as Sayreville (6-2) scored four runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back. Christina Misiur went 3-for-3 with a double, two RBI, and three runs for the Bombers. Kelly Duffy and Brianna Parisio each collected two hits with two RBI as Sayreville pounded out 14 hits. Duffy allowed an unearned run on three hits for the win. Jill Mizak triple in the first inning, scoring the only Colonia (7-7) run.

Monroe 11, Perth Amboy 1 (5 inn.): Angela Mazurkiewicz went 3-for-4, Kendra Barlotta was 2-for-2 with four RBI, as Nicole Van Dzura gave up two hits and struck out six to get the win for Monroe (8-1). Casey Schieda went 2-for-2 with an RBI and run scored for the Falcons. Samantha Nunez singled and scored a run for Perth Amboy (1-12).

South Plainfield 7, Woodbridge 2: Caity Hughes went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored as South Plainfield scored all seven of its runs in the first two innings to improve to 14-0. Caroline Ratti tripled, drove in two runs, and scored two runs for the Tigers while Katherine Vill allowed two unearned runs on six hits, striking out six and walking none. Carly Kjersgaard went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI for Woodbridge (5-7).

Bishop Ahr 13, Carteret 0 (5 inn.): Katie Eicher went 4-for-4 with a double, home run, two RBI, and two runs to power Bishop Ahr (8-4). Ragen Reddick also homered and collected two hits while Amanda Julve had two hits with four RBI and Brnadi Carrion collected two hits with three RBI as seven Trojan players had at least two hits. Kayla Simon threw a two-hit shutout for the win. Carteret fell to 3-9.

Middletown South 6, East Brunswick 2: In a rematch of the 2012 Central Group IV sectional final, Middletown South rallied from a 2-0 early deficit to defeat the Bears. East Brunswick (9-5) jumped out to a 2-0 lead behind Lauren Assennata's two-run double. Beth Anania had two hits for the Bears. Alyssa Ippolito took the loss for East Brunswick, walking none and striking out two.

South River 7, Highland Park 1: Mackenzie Garrick allowed just an unearned run on three hits for the win as she struck out 13 and walked two for South River (10-3). Caitlyn Gardner went 3-for-4 and Jenna Dogherty went 2-for-4 with three RBI for the Rams. Sasha Khordorkovsky went 1-for-1 with an RBI for Highland Park (5-5).

South Amboy 17, Woodbridge Academy 1 (4 inn.): Jenna Makar hit a two-run home run and Alissa Bikowski hit a solo shot to power South Amboy (5-3). Erica Policastro allowed one hit for the win.

New Egypt 8, Metuchen 0: Sami Hoffman had the only hit of the day for Metuchen (5-7) as they were one-hit by New Egypt (7-4).
