Home News Tribune Softball Player of the Week ballot: Week 3
Three-plus weeks of the season are in the books, and Week 3 brought us another round of stellar performances in the area.
Here are the Home News Tribune Player of the Week nominations:
EMILY CODY
Dunellen
Junior, pitcher
The Destroyers have won nine straight games as Cody last week hit 5-for-10 with 10 RBI over three games at the plate. In the circle she did not allow an earned run over 10 innings pitched.

KAYLA COLEMAN
J.F. Kennedy
Senior, pitcher
Coleman went 5-for-6 with four RBI at the plate over two games as Kennedy lost to crosstown rival before beating Perth Amboy 14-1 on Saturday. In the circle she gave up only four hits in the win over Perth Amboy and gave up only two earned runs over six innings in the loss to Colonia.
ALEXA RABA
Spotswood
Junior, pitcher
The Chargers continue to win and got their biggest win to-date this season on Saturday over Piscataway from the Red Division as Raba's walk off single in the bottom of the seventh inning won it 2-1 for the Chargers. She went 6-for-10 at the plate in three Spotswood wins, hitting three doubles and driving in six runs. In the circle she went 3-0, allowing one earned run over 19 innings as she struck out 20 and walked just one.
CARLY RYBINSKI
South Brunswick
Freshman, shortstop
The freshman Rybinski has been one of a handful of freshmen making an impact in the GMC this season. In two games she collectively went 6-for-7 with a home run, two RBI, and four runs scored as she's made her mark at the top of the Vikings lineup.
Poll closes at 8 p.m. Thursday. Winner will be featured in the weekly softball notebook, online Friday afternoon and in print in Saturday's edition of the Home News Tribune.
