Wrestling: Bound Brook, South Plainfield ranked in latest NJWWA statewide Top 20 poll

Bound Brook and South Plainfield remained the only high school teams from the Courier News and Home News Tribune area ranked among the Top 20 in the state in the latest New Jersey Wrestling Writers Association poll.

The NJWWA consists of 16 voting members. Results of its poll appear weekly during the season in newspapers and on websites of participating media outlets. Region V ranking chairman Ron Mazzola is the association’s president.

Bound Brook, which remained at No. 2, wrestles at fifth-ranked Phillipsburg on Wednesday. South Plainfield, which impressed in a 40-19 win over Monroe on Friday, fell to 14-5 after losing in a tri-meet on Saturday to state-ranked Jackson Memorial and Paramus.
