BISHOP AHR

Coach: Nick Tonzola, 25th season (229-209-3).

Last year: 10-11 overall, 5-2 White Division.

Key losses: Pat Passintino (14-22 at 138); James West 17-14 at 170).

Probable lineup: 106 - Gavin Ringwood (So., 19-15 at 106); 113 - Dylan O'Connor (So., 12-17 at 113); 120 Guiseppe Carpasso (So., 6-10 at 120), Andrew Rich or Nick DelDuca; 126 - Tyler Earl (Sr., 5-10 at 138) or John Manzo (So.); 132/138 - John Sheedy (Jr., 24-9 at 120), Dan Reguinga (Jr.) or Dylan Jensen (Jr.); 152- John Sandoval (Sr.); 160 - Tyler Underwood (Jr., 25-10 at 145) or Mike Schreck (Sr.); 170 - Andrew Brazicki (So., 17-19 at 160) or Devin Michael (Sr., 15-12 at 170); 182 Samuel Amin (Jr.) or Nick Jensen (So.); 195 - Matt Speilman (Sr.); 220 - Mike DeSantis (So.); 285 - Dan Trimboli (Jr.).

Outlook: Bishop Ahr, which traditionally wrestles a rugged schedule, will contend for the White Division title. The team's only division losses a year ago were to Edison and Monroe, which both bumped up to the Red Division. Sheedy, Underwood and Ringwood are the cornerstones who could help Bishop Ahr compete for the District 19 championship.

COLONIA

Coach: Daniel Grasso, 12th season (79-100).

Last year: 5-12 overall, 1-5 White Division.

Key losses: William Allardice (17-10, 6th GMC, 2nd district at 220); Teighler Matty (15-10 at 170); Jacob Scofield (11-9 at 113).

Probable lineup: 106/113 - Matthew Sternesky (Fr.); 106/113 - Azam Naqvi (Sr., 9-12 at 106); 113/120 - Christian Vasquez (Jr.,); 120/126 - Luke Pero (Fr.); 120/126 - Nick Coppa (Sr., 6-8, 8th GMC at 120): 132/138 - Mahmoud Bachir (Sr., 12-16 at 120); 132/138 - Keion Cherry (Jr., 11-14 at 126); 138/145 - Mike Salcedo (So., 1-5 at 132); 145/152 - Zach Farawell (Fr.); 160 - Abdalrahman Abrahim (Sr., 4-18 at 152); 170/182 - Sam Pero (Sr., 15-3, 8th GMC at 152); 170/182 - Joe Wolfe (Sr., 6-16 at 182); 170/182 - Peter Gelmine (Sr.); 170/182 - Christian Irizarry (Fr.); 195 - Solomon Manning (Jr.); 220/285 - Scott Ehiri (Jr.); 220/285 - Paul Juran (So.).

Outlook: Injuries to team captain Sam Pero and Salcedo derailed a promising 2013-14 campaign. Grasso said a solid group of newcomers, most found in the upper weights, will complement a strong corps of returning letterwinners.

J.F. KENNEDY

Coach: Nick Cilento, 2nd season (8-12).

Last year: 8-14 overall, 2-4 White Division.

Key losses: Carl Buttitta (33-5, 1st region, 1st district at 145); Alan Skaev (15-12, 6th GMC at 160).

Probable lineup: 106 - Aaron Coleman (Fr.); 113 - Adem Djanovic (Sr., 7-12 at 113); 120 - Victor Torres (Jr., 4-13 at 120); 126 - Kevin Schaffer (So.) or Kelvin Diaz (Fr.); 132 - Emmanuel Rivera (Jr., 7-11 at 126); 138 - Stiven Skenderi (Sr., 16-15 at 132, 3rd district, 5th GMC); 145 - Giovanni Magee (Fr.); 152 – Jerry Mott (Sr.); 160 - Sean Aston (So., 5-18 at 138); 170 - Brandon Farrell (Sr., 32-2, 1st GMC, 1st district at 170); 182 - Carlos Martinez (Jr., 4-16 at 182); 195 - Anthony Siekel (So.) or Bernardo Abreu (Fr.); 220 - Anthony Deleon (Sr., 19-11, 7th GMC at 220); HWT - Christian Cardosa (Jr., 8-19, 3rd district at 285).

Outlook: Graduation of Buttitta, career record holder at the school with 141 wins, creates a void as the Mustangs look to rebound from a sub.-500 season. J.F. Kennedy expects another big year from Farrell as he looks to repeat as GMCT and District 19 champion and tries to make his first trip to Atlantic City. Other top returners are Deleon, Skenderi and Cardosa. The Mustangs have two top newcomers in freshmen Coleman and Magee. Aston, Torres and Rivera look to step up as returning letterwinners.

SAYREVILLE

Coach: Marcus Ivy, 3rd season (31-18).

Last season: 19-4 overall, 3-3 Red Division.

Key losses: Nick Taillefer (25-11, 3rd GMC, 2nd district at 152); Aaron Davis (18-12 at 126); George Camacho (7-12) John Zukosky (5-11).

Probable lineup: 106 - Branden Alicea (Fr.); 113 - Frank Roman (Jr., 19-13 at 106); 120 - Dylan Taillefer (Jr., 5-4 at 138); 126 - Dylan Haltli (Sr., 26-7 at 113); 132 - Dylan Alves (Sr., 13-9 at 120); 138 - Maddux Mason (Jr., 17-13 at 132); 145 - Isaac Blagogee (Sr., 14-16 at 138); 152 - Dylan Kelleher (Jr.) or Andrew Pulido (Jr.); 160 - Kyle Wavero (So.) or Vincent Fultz (Sr.); 170 - Tyler Lewis (Jr., 8-18 at 170); 182 - Tyler Gilligan (Sr.); 220 - Michael Porcaro (So., 17-15 at 220); 285 - Anthony Porcaro (Jr., 33-5 1st GMC, 1st district, 4th region).

Outlook: The Bombers return 10 varsity wrestlers to a team that finished with 19 wins last season. The Bombers look to compete for the White Division title in their first season out of the Red Division. Sayreville has its largest senior and junior class in Ivy's tenure. He believes this leadership will carry the team to a successful season and that the upperclassmen can all compete for a GMC championship. Ivy hopes to compete for a Top 5 finish in the GMC Tournament and Top 3 finish in the District 20 Tournament.

J.P. STEVENS

Coach: Vincent Gioffre, 2nd season (1-23).

Last year: 1-23 overall, 0-6 White Division.

Key losses: Tahir Gooding (16-10 at 120).

Probable lineup: 106 - Dan Ricigliano (Fr.); 113 - Will Giordano (Fr.) or Dan DeFilippo (Jr.); 126 - Tyler Troung (Sr.); 132 - Jamari Lake (So.) or Rahul Reddy (Jr.); 138 - Sooraz Bylipudi (Sr.) or Matt Jasinski (So.); 145 - Paul Vargas (Jr.); 160 - Jair Pittman (Sr.); 170 - Sam Marshall (Jr.); 195 - Paul Kim (Jr.); 225 - Michael Santana (Jr.).

Outlook: The legendary Nisovaccia brothers, National Hall of Famer Gerry and Joe, who were standouts as scholastic wrestlers and head coaches, have joined Gioffre's staff. Their mere presence will make the Hawks a better team. Gioffre has done a great job encouraging his wrestlers to attend open mats, participate in the Old Bridge Summer Duals and attend wrestling camps during the offseason. The Hawks are looking for leadership to help rebuild the once-storied program.

WOODBRIDGE

Coach: Mike Carbone, 8th season (47-30).

Last year: 12-7 overall, 3-3 White Division.

Key losses: Bobby Jordan (1st GMC, 1st district, 1st region, 7th state, 38-2 at 113); Salvatore Catanzaro (16-16, 4th district at 145).

Probable lineup: 106 - Yehia Mosaad (So.); 113 - Alec Shea (Jr.); 120 - Jack Quinn (So., 6th GMC, 2nd district, 22-15 at 106); 126 - Joey Marty (Sr., 2nd district, 22-10 at 120); 132 - Antol Kocsis (Jr., 3-3 at 132), Val Keller (Sr.) or Hunter Kiraly (Fr.); 138 - Dale Alvarez (Fr.); 145 - Scott Fritz (Jr.) or Elyas Azouzi (Jr.); 152 - Marquan Payne (So.); 160 - Bryan McLaughlin (So., 3rd GMC, 2nd district, 29-7 at 138); 170 - Zack Cottrell (So., 10-13 at 170); Nick Nyers (Fr.); 182 - Sidney Pierre (Jr.); 195 - Vincent Zecchino (So., 8th GMC, 3rd district, 22-13 at 182/195); 220 - Rob Bognar (Jr.); 285 - Mike Karafa (Sr., 4th district, 13-9 at 285) or Alex LaGrippo (So.).

Outlook: Bobby Jordan, one of the best wrestlers in school history with 129 career wins, has graduated. Woodbridge could start as many as nine underclassmen. Captain Joey Marty and sophomore Jack Quinn anchor the lower weights. Sophomores Bryan McLaughlin and Vincent Zecchino are expected to compete for the top three spots at Region V in their respective weight classes. The duo combined for 51 wins as freshmen last year, and the Barrons will again need them to have outstanding seasons if they want to compete for a division title.
